Implementation of a SCADA system for the injection process. The communication standard between each station S7-1200 and PLC Central 319-3 PN/DP was PROFINET.


Requirements of the customer:

  • The control system of each machine must be connected to an industrial network to access plant information, centralize and visualize it in a SCADA system.
  • Know and reduce breaks and downtime.
  • Increase production at the plant for increased demand.
  • Having a centralized SCADA system of the 15 machines that make the production process.
  • Having a data log of the production process.
  • Improved control system production machines.

Implementation by the Solution Partner:

  • The solution is a totally integrated automation architecturewith PROFINET based topology.
  • Distributed 15 PLC S7-1200 stations with PROFINET interface are connected to the central PLC 319-3 PN/DP.
  • Five PC stations are connected via industrial Ethernet to the controller.
  • Each PLC S7-1200 is monitoring/controling the injection machine of the production plant.

  • Evidence unscheduled downtime of the machines through constant monitoring of the plant.

  • Monitor the manufacturing process from various company departments such as Production, Quality Control and Maintenance.
